Responsibilities

  • The History Teacher will deliver inspiring and rigorous tuition across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE/iGCSE), and 5 (A-Level).
  • The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment and promoting sophisticated source analysis, essay construction, and historical debate.
  • They must actively contribute to the school's historical research culture and cultural calendar.
  • The History Teacher is expected to ensure consistent high academic results for all pupils, particularly those seeking competitive university places in History and related subjects.
  • The teacher must participate proactively in curriculum planning and support History subject societies.

Requirements

  • Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has the right to work in the UK.
  • Holds a Degree or has experience teaching History
