Market Access Operations
We pull medical technology from the future to solve human health.
Scarlet is authorised to assess and certify medical devices. We combine clinical, technical and regulatory expertise with AI agents and software so rigorous certification can keep pace with product development at the world’s most ambitious technology companies, without lowering the safety bar.
Our customers have cut a year or more from their certification timelines for new AI-enabled medical devices and shortened product-update cycles from months to weeks. You’ll join a team building the infrastructure that makes these outcomes repeatable at scale.
About the role
In Market Access Operations, you will run projects to obtain new regulatory capabilities for Scarlet from governments and accreditation bodies. You will own projects from initial idea through to delivering the first certificates to customers. You will combine market research, project management and commercial work to identify and obtain new approvals, find the first customers, issue the first certificates to them and compound our learnings into repeatable workflows.
Responsibilities
Research new markets, regulatory approvals and certifications, assess their potential value to customers and make prioritisation decisions to sequence them
Turn unfamiliar regulatory systems into concrete plans, working with our regulatory teams to determine what Scarlet must build, change or demonstrate, who needs to be involved and what the critical path looks like
Own new approval applications end to end, coordinating our teams, external experts and regulatory bodies, anticipating blockers and keeping multiple projects moving
Identify manufacturers who need new approvals, close deals with the first customers and coordinate their journey through a service Scarlet is delivering for the first time
Build repeatable processes, tooling and knowledge so that each new approval makes the next one easier
Work across our commercial, regulatory, product and people teams, stepping into gaps to keep projects moving
Hand new approvals over to the teams responsible for deploying them at scale, preserving the context and regulatory relationships they need to succeed
Required qualifications
Three or more years’ experience in a commercial, strategy or business operations role, ideally in a start-up or other fast-moving environment
Experience leading complex, multi-part projects from initial idea through delivery, involving internal and external teams
Preferred qualifications
Experience evaluating opportunities from strategic and commercial perspectives and making clear recommendations
Experience researching unfamiliar systems, synthesising incomplete information, analysing data and turning findings into concrete plans
Experience building or improving operational processes and tooling so that repeated work becomes faster
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
