Public Affairs Lead (Youth Charity)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a national youth charity that runs a growing network of inspirational, purpose-built youth centres providing centre-based youth work in disadvantaged communities.
As Public Affairs lead you will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong reputation and influence with policymakers, partners and stakeholders to position the charity's youth work as an essential part of the national conversation and policy landscape.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of core public affairs activity aligned to existing priorities;
- A structured review of the charity's medium and long-term public affairs and policy approach.
You will have:
- Proven experience in UK public affairs and policy, ideally within youth, education or social policy;
- Relevant experience conducting reviews or shaping future policy/public affairs approaches;
- The ability to understand central and local government, including how policy is developed and influenced;
- Confidence in supporting senior stakeholders, including CEOs.
The ideal candidate is someone who can operate at pace, understands the youth policy landscape,and can move confidently between delivery and strategy.
Six month contract.
