Underwriting Assistant
Location: City of London (4 days in office, 1 day WFH)
Salary: Up to £45,000 + benefits
Our client is a fast-growing insurance platform that helps launch and scale Managing General Agents (MGAs) by providing the operational infrastructure, regulatory support, and market access needed to bring innovative insurance products to life. The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an Underwriting Assistant to join a forward-thinking, service-driven business at the heart of the London insurance market. You’ll play a key role in supporting MGA clients and underwriting teams with day-to-day operational and administrative tasks, ensuring high-quality service and smooth delivery across all processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport MGA and underwriting teams with day-to-day operational and administrative activities .
Act as a point of contact for post-bind queries , ensuring reconciliations and reports are completed accurately.
Maintain accurate underwriting data and assist with month-end close processes.
Produce MI reports and KPI updates to support business decisions.
Identify opportunities to enhance underwriting and operational processes .
Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
3+ years’ experience in an Underwriting Assistant role within the Lloyd’s or Company market .
Strong understanding of underwriting processes and systems.
Excellent organisational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Confident communicator and proactive team player.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential).
Work with a leading name in the MGA and delegated authority space.
Exposure to a broad range of clients and underwriting classes.
Collaborative team culture with clear development opportunities.
