Baker - Dalston (Hiring Immediately)

We are currently looking for a Baker to support our Dalston Café space. Being part of the cafe team, the Baker works alongside the team to ensure smooth service and maintain our high standards. Our Dalston café has a menu that is fresh and simple, consisting of delicious sandwiches, classic breakfast and lunch dishes and a selection of sweets and cakes. We prepare most things on-site, in an open kitchen and using the best seasonal ingredients we can get our hands on. Previous baking experience is essential, as is attention to detail, high level of communication, a knack for multi-tasking and a willingness to get things done. Working in a café environment can be unpredictable, so being able to keep cool under pressure is a must. In this role, you will: Ensure consistent high standards of food preparation and presentation Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Setup, pack down, pot-wash and cleaning of food areas. Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are maintained in the space. Support our Baking leader and Head Chef with ad hoc duties. About you. Have experience previously in a kitchen or some experience in professional baking. Exceptional organisational skills. High levels of communication skills, both written and verbal. Enthusiastic and a deep love for food, finger on the pulse of the London food scene. Self-motivated and able to work autonomously Infallible eye for detail. This is a part-time role which means 2-3 shifts a week. Our cafes only operate during the day time. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who already has hospitality experience and is looking to further their career in the coffee industry. Times: The cafe is open between 8-4 Mon-Fri and 9-4 on Saturdays and Sundays.
