Nursery Practitioner in Edgware
We are looking for a passionate and caring individual to join the dedicated team as a Nursery Practitioner at this diverse and friendly nursery in Edgware, NW London.
This nursery prioritises the individual and specific needs each child has and is a wonderful place for young children to learn and grow, with sensory areas, a private garden for outdoor play and learning, and specific rooms both for age and for subject.This is a permanent Nursery Practitioner position to work 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm) at a nursery that really appreciates and values every member of staff. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
- Assist children with their early reading and literacy and early maths skills development
- Have good knowledge of early childhood development and EYFS
- Lead and encourage interactive play and learning sessions, including child-led learning
- Plan sessions and activities that stimulate children's imagination, based on the Early Years Framework
- Create an environment that is language rich and supportive
- Support personal, social and emotional development
- Help children build on their social skills, confidence and to form positive relationships from a young age
A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification is essential and previous experience in a nursery setting is preferred for this Nursery Practitioner position.
