ECT: English Teacher – Join a Literary Faculty with Comprehensive Mentorship and a Focus on Core Literacy and Literary Theory – Tower Hamlets
An academically rigorous secondary school in Tower Hamlets is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic ECT of English (Year 1 or 2) to join their successful English department from January 2026.
- ECT: English Teacher required from January 2026
- Tower Hamlets-based school with a dynamic, high-achieving sixth form.
- Excellent opportunity for a graduate interested in teaching A-Level English early in their career.
You will teach English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4, with opportunities for KS5 involvement. Your induction will focus on developing strong classroom presence , refining your knowledge of the GCSE specifications , and mastering effective differentiation for a diverse student body.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS or completing final training in English or Literature.
- A high level of literary knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Ability to relate effectively to students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Commitment to contributing to after-school revision and enrichment clinics .
