What You’ll Do

As VP of AI, you will lead Devtech’s AI vertical and shape the company’s vision, strategy, and execution in artificial intelligence, data science, and machine learning services.

Your role will combine AI consulting leadership, business growth, and strategic innovation. You will drive how Devtech helps clients adopt, scale, and innovate with AI - from early discovery workshops and problem framing, to designing and delivering transformative, AI-driven solutions that generate measurable business outcomes.

You will lead a multidisciplinary organization of AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Specialists, while ensuring AI capabilities are seamlessly integrated across all service lines and client engagements. You will be expected to model collaboration, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that our collective actions drive growth, client success, and a thriving company culture.

Externally, you will serve as a strategic AI partner and thought leader, facilitating discovery workshops, building trusted relationships with client executives, guiding their AI strategy, and representing Devtech in the broader AI community through speaking engagements, panels, and partnerships.

  • Shape and execute Devtech’s AI strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, client needs, and market trends.

  • Lead and performance manage a high-performing organization of AI and Data professionals, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and operational excellence across teams.

  • Coach and mentor senior AI and data leaders to proactively identify challenges, foster innovation, and maintain high performance standards.

  • Lead organizational design and technical leadership development of AI and Data vertical, ensuring sustainable team structures, clear career progression pathways, succession planning, and the growth of next-generation engineering leaders.

  • Drive pre-sales consulting and opportunity development by facilitating discoveries, workshops, and solution framing sessions with clients - identifying how AI can create competitive advantage.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Delivery, Product, Design, and Architecture leaders to shape go-to-market strategies, support presales and solution framing for strategic opportunities, and drive long-term client growth and partnership planning.

  • Partner with the Delivery and Account Management teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery excellence in alignment with clients’ business goals for AI-driven projects, including standards, resourcing, and governance.

  • Establish and evolve AI frameworks, data governance standards, and model development principles that ensure accuracy, scalability, security, and ethical use of AI across all solutions and client engagements.

  • Serve as executive AI advisor for key clients, building and maintaining trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders (CTOs, CIOs, CDOs, and Chief Product Officers) and co-creating their AI roadmaps and adoption strategies, driving long-term partnerships, co-innovation opportunities, and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate cross-functionality to create and launch new AI-enabled service lines, accelerators, and IP-based offerings, combining technology, design, and AI to enhance Devtech’s differentiation and scalability.

  • Establish and track AI performance metrics, including project delivery success, service adoption, client satisfaction, and contribution to revenue growth.

  • Build and nurture a Community of Practice for AI and Data, enabling knowledge sharing, experimentation, and continuous learning across engineering and delivery teams.

  • Ensure all AI operations contribute to Devtech’s financial health, including margin optimization, accurate forecasting, and efficient resource utilization.

  • Oversee AI vertical budgets, resourcing strategies, and technology investments to ensure financial performance and scalability.

  • Participate in and co-facilitate company-wide and departmental leadership meetings, ensuring alignment on strategy, priorities, and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Contribute to thought leadership and brand visibility, representing Devtech at conferences, panels, and in media publications as a voice of AI innovation and responsible adoption.

  • Represent Devtech externally as a technology thought leader, speaking at events, contributing to industry discussions, and showcasing Devtech’s innovation and technical capabilities.

  • Promote a culture of ethical AI use, experimentation, and accountability - positioning Devtech as a trusted AI enablement partner.

What You’ll Need

  • 15+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years in applied AI, data science, or machine learning space.

  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and scaling AI-driven solutions within technology consulting or digital services organizations.

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks, cloud AI platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), data pipelines, and MLOps practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to advise C-level clients on AI strategy, organizational readiness, and transformation.

  • Experience driving pre-sales, solution design, and innovation workshops that connect AI capabilities with measurable business value.

  • Deep understanding of ethical AI, data governance, and responsible innovation principles.

  • Strong leadership and people development skills, with experience mentoring senior AI or data leaders and fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration.

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business impact.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred but not required).

  • Experience in fintech, B2B SaaS, or data-driven platforms is a plus.
