The Team

The Senior Communications Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the Global Finance function (encompassing Finance, IT and Procurement departments) in creating and distributing engaging communication and coordinating events that support the ongoing functional transformation, success stories across the team and improve internal and external communications around the function.

The Specialist will be expected to develop and implement communication strategies to support “One Global Finance” in its ongoing transformation and new ways of working, in addition to supporting the individual departments that make up the function, as we deliver new initiatives to work more effectively. The individual will ensure clear messaging and engagement within the function and the business; and collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate smooth transitions and foster an engaged culture.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Proactively collaborate across the global teams, functional leadership and with cross-functional teams to source relevant content to share with teams

  • Create and publish engaging external content via articles, blogs and posts etc.

  • Plan and lead internal regular Town Hall meetings, as well as an annual functional meeting, focused on promoting the global function and various strategic programs / projects. This will require collaboration and alignment with the Global Communications team

  • Manage the internal SharePoint and community pages on Viva Engage

  • Provide expertise and input into individual functional and project specific communication plans

  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics from deliverables to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and amend future plans in line with results to maximise impact

  • Support the Leadership Team in raising their profile both internally and externally by ghost writing and publishing articles and helping coordinating speaking / panel participation opportunities

  • Identifying and submitting external award applications for the function, and departments

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in corporate communications / public relations in an agency or corporate environment

  • Experience supporting a global Finance function would be highly desirable

  • Excellent verbal and written communications in English

  • Ability to build and manage internal relationships

  • Expertise in internal and externally facing digital communications and social media

  • Expertise in leveraging digital channels to engage internally

  • Hands on, results orientated, resilient and a self-starter

  • Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
