We are hiring a Prescribing Lead to join Xyla Healthcare Services' Neurodevelopmental Services team, a specialist service dedicated to delivering high-quality, accessible neurodevelopmental assessments and treatment pathways across the UK.

In this role, you will provide senior clinical leadership and professional accountability for our prescribing services, ensuring safe, effective, person-centred and evidence-based prescribing practices. You'll lead the development and governance of prescribing pathways, support complex clinical decision-making and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outstanding care and clinical outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic clinical leadership and oversight across prescribing services, ensuring safe and effective prescribing practices.

  • Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of prescribing policies, pathways, governance frameworks and clinical standards.

  • Act as the senior clinical escalation point for complex prescribing decisions, medicines optimisation and high-risk clinical cases.

  • Manage and develop a team of prescribing clinicians through supervision, performance management, competency assessments and professional development.

  • Build strong relationships with NHS commissioners, primary care providers, pharmacy partners and multidisciplinary teams to support service delivery and growth.

What we're looking for:

  • Registered Consultant Psychiatrist, General Practitioner with Extended Role, Paediatrician, or Advanced Practice Nurse/Non-Medical Prescriber qualification.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience assessing and prescribing within neurodevelopmental services.

  • Proven experience prescribing ADHD medication and managing treatment pathways.

  • Previous leadership or line management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a clinical team.
