Tax and Accounts Manager – Accountancy Practice Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you an ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified accountant with a strong background in both tax and accounts? A leading and well-established accountancy practice in Tunbridge Wells is looking to appoint an experienced Tax and Accounts Manager. This reputable practice is known for delivering tailored compliance and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative team, taking on a newly created position with genuine scope for development and future progression. Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
\n
• Reviewing and signing off statutory accounts and tax returns (both personal and corporate)
\n
• Providing high-level tax planning and advisory services, including CGT, IHT and remuneration strategies
\n
• Acting as a primary point of contact for client queries and relationship management
\n
• Supporting directors with complex tax matters and business advisory work
\n
• Mentoring and supervising junior staff and semi-seniors within the team
\n
• Liaising with clients, HMRC and external stakeholders
\n

Candidate Profile:

\n
• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
\n
• Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice environment
\n
• A well-rounded background in tax compliance, tax planning and statutory accounts preparation
\n
• Comfortable managing client relationships and advising business owners
\n
• Strong communication skills and a commercial, client-focused mindset
\n
• Able to lead and mentor team members and support staff development
\n
