WHAT'S THIS ROLE ALL ABOUT?

At Wiser, we build world-class careers sites and intranets for clients across a variety of industries, including consumer, fashion, media, and travel. Our Product Team is made up of Product Designers, Developers, and Product Operations specialists, all working as a highly collaborative, agile team.

We’re looking for an experienced mid to senior-level UX/UI Designer to join us. The role will support our Product Design Team to audit and design career sites for a series of upcoming global projects.

WHAT WILL YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING?
  • Conducting comprehensive UX audits to assess user behaviour, identify usability issues, and evaluate the effectiveness of our clients' existing websites.

  • Translating insights into tangible design outputs, through sitemaps and high-fidelity wireframes.

  • Owning the end-to-end UI design process, from concept development to delivery and iteration, ensuring all outputs fit the client’s branding and brief and meet the highest standard.

  • Presenting design concepts and research findings to internal teams and clients, articulating design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaborating closely with the Product Design Team, driving creative solutions and setting the standard for scalable visual systems.

  • Reviewing implemented work against designs and providing clear feedback to our Product Developers to ensure outputs align with design quality.

  • Championing accessibility and inclusivity in every aspect of design, exceeding compliance standards and delivering experiences that resonate with all users.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

As a UX/UI Product Designer, you’ll bring 4+ years of experience designing digital products and websites, with a strong grasp of both user experience (UX) methodologies and user interface (UI) design principles and the ability to lead projects. You’ll have a strong portfolio that demonstrates a record of delivering high-quality design solutions.
We are seeking a candidate who can drive creative innovation across UI design concepts, delivering fresh, forward-thinking ideas that elevate usability and visual impact. The ideal candidate will produce pitch-ready designs at a standard that resonates with global brands such as On Running and L'Oréal.

  • UX Design Expertise:

    • Able to synthesise research insights into personas, heuristic reports, and user flows to conceptualise findings.

    • Experience in developing sitemaps and wireframes to translate insights into early-stage design concepts.

    • Comfortable analysing website performance metrics to make informed design decisions and improve usability.

    • Conducting UX/Ui Audits.

    • Analysing data sets and collating design-centric key findings.

  • UI Design Skills:

    • High proficiency in Figma

    • Strong knowledge of visual design principles, including typography, colour theory, and grid systems.

    • Proven ability to design visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for websites and web applications across different devices and screen sizes.

    • Confident in applying motion and interactive design principles to animate prototypes and bring ideas to life.

    • Strong understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and a commitment to inclusive design.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, project managers and account directors to understand project requirements and goals.

    • Confident presenting to both internal and external stakeholders, clearly and persuasively explaining design rationale.

    • Receptive to feedback, with the ability to incorporate it into design iterations.

    • Communicates proactively when timelines or blockers arise, ensuring alignment across teams.

  • Problem-Solving & Delivery:

    • Able to identify UX challenges and propose creative and scalable solutions.

    • Balances user needs with business goals, budget, timeline and technical restrictions.

    • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritising tasks effectively, working as part of an agile and fast-moving team.

    • Experienced in maintaining organised version control, component libraries and clear naming conventions to facilitate smooth development handover.

    • Awareness of basic resource management fundamentals, including time management, effort estimation, and time tracking.

  • Growth Mindset:

    • Proactively seeking new inspiration, techniques and elevations to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in the UX/UI space.

    • Maintains a strong portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process and impact.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience across the Adobe Creative Cloud apps to support broader visual and motion design needs.

  • Experience in the discovery and validation of design concepts with users, e.g. usability testing.

  • Experience with project management tools such as Trello, Jira and Asana.

  • Previous experience in delivering workshops and face-to-face sessions with clients.

  • Client management experience, building relationships, and clearly communicating.

BENEFITS:

  • A high-performance company culture that will help you to progress quickly and thrive.

  • The chance to develop and work in a fast-growing company, with monthly check-ins with your manager to talk about your progression.
