Role Information
The School Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. Core responsibilities include managing inbound enquiries, supporting attendance processes, coordinating communications, updating school databases, assisting with admissions paperwork, and providing administrative support to the senior leadership team when required.
You will also support parent communications, maintain high levels of organisation across filing systems, and assist in preparing documentation for meetings, events, and statutory reporting. Professionalism, confidentiality, and high attention to detail are essential traits for this role.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for students, parents, visitors, and external stakeholders, meaning excellent customer service skills are vital. This role requires someone who enjoys a busy environment, can work proactively, and thrives in a school setting.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a school administrative role or similar office environment
• Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills (SIMS/Arbor desirable)
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines
• Professional telephone manner and strong written communication
• Reliability, discretion, and commitment to safeguarding
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
