Area Sales Manager - Carpets
Area Sales Manager – Carpets
The Role
My client is looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to cover North West London, the NHC and parts of the East Midlands. You will be responsible for selling a high-quality range of carpet tiles into the retail sector, managing and developing relationships with independent retailers across the region. The territory is already established with the vacancy arising due to retirement. This is a field sales role where personality, relationship building and customer service are absolutely key.
The Company
My client is a long-established and highly respected UK manufacturer within the flooring sector, producing high-quality products. They manufacture a wide range of plain and patterned carpets across both residential and commercial markets, with products specified globally across hotels, restaurants, embassies, department stores and residential projects. The business has built an excellent reputation for product quality and reliability.
The Person
My client is open regarding the background of the successful individual. They would consider someone currently working internally and looking to move into field sales, or an established external sales representative. The key requirement is personality and attitude. The successful candidate will be:
Honest and hardworking
Down to earth and personable
Strong at building long-term relationships
Commercially aware with good sales ability
Organised and self-motivated
Candidates with flooring, interiors or related merchant / retail sales experience would be of particular interest.
