You will lead on developing, contracting and managing the delivery of one assigned programme. This will involve managing all aspects of programme governance, and ensuring individual projects are effectively defined, resourced and co-ordinated.
You will also manage the performance of a matrix team, developing their capability to ensure the programme reaches its milestones, with all risk and dependencies well-managed.
Effective stakeholder management and engagement will be central to the success of your programme. Your communication skills will also have a wider impact – we want you to champion programme management best practices throughout the organisation and support their wider adoption.
About You
- Programme manager with proven experience in delivering complex programmes, ideally within science, engineering, or R&D environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build confidence across diverse collaborators and wider stakeholders
- Our programmes deliver tangible real-world benefits for the UK, you will drive benefits realisation, bringing practical approaches that ensure that benefits are achieved
- You will be adept at coordinating, monitoring and steering individual projects to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
- Whilst MSP Practitioner qualification is desirable, proficiency in programme and project management techniques and getting the best out of multi-disciplinary teams is essential.
- Your excellent communication skills allow you to present complex information clearly, meeting the needs of different audiences .
