FRA Carpenter Manager

We are seeking an experienced FRA Carpenter Manager / Supervisor with a strong background in Passive Fire Protection to manage and deliver fire safety remediation works across social housing and residential properties.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a qualified Fire Risk Assessor (FRA), Supervisor, or Passive Fire Protection Manager with a carpentry trade background, who can confidently oversee fire door installations, maintenance, fire stopping, and compartmentation works on multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, manage, and coordinate teams of carpenters and subcontractors across multiple projects and sites.
- Oversee fire door installations, remedial works, inspections, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
- Manage and monitor fire stopping and compartmentation works in line with FRA requirements.
- Ensure all works comply with current fire safety legislation, building regulations, and third-party accreditation standards (e.g. BM Trada, FIRAS ).
- Carry out quality inspections, audits, and sign-off of completed works.
- Review and manage RAMS , deliver toolbox talks, and ensure strong Health & Safety compliance at all times.
- Liaise professionally with clients, residents, housing officers, and internal project teams to ensure smooth delivery within occupied properties.
- Complete site reports, compliance documentation, and photographic evidence using the company’s digital systems.
- Proven experience in a Supervisory or Management role within FRA remediation, passive fire protection, or fire door works.
- Strong carpentry background (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred).
- Excellent knowledge of fire door standards, passive fire protection, fire stopping, and compartmentation .
- Solid understanding of current fire safety regulations and British Standards .
- Experience working within social housing and occupied properties is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as FIRAS, BM Trada, IOSH, or NEBOSH are highly regarded.
- Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills, with confidence using digital reporting systems.
- Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided where applicable).
