We are recruiting an English Teacher for a popular Harrow secondary school that puts reading and subject knowledge at the heart of its curriculum. This full-time temporary role starts February 23rd.
About the Role This role is perfect for a teacher who believes that literacy is the key to student success. The school has a serious focus on reading for all levels of learners, underpinning every aspect of their English curriculum. You will be teaching in a school that recently achieved an incredible 92% A-C at A-Level *.
About the School The curriculum here is designed to be challenging and inspired. Teachers are given the time and space to focus on their subject, with weekly meetings dedicated entirely to developing teaching strategies. It is an environment where subject expertise is truly celebrated.
Responsibilities
Teach English with a focus on deep knowledge and reading skills.
Collaborate with the English team to provide "stretch and challenge" for all learners.
Utilize evidence-based pedagogical strategies to improve student progress.
Requirements
Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to literacy.
Right to work in the UK and valid Enhanced DBS.
The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship.
