Position Overview
We are recruiting for a Telesales position based at our Acton branch. This is an office-based role focused on generating sales and providing outstanding customer service via telephone and digital channels. The successful candidate will identify customer needs, convert enquiries into sales, manage customer accounts and support the branch sales team to drive revenue growth while upholding Lawsons’ professional standards.
Working Hours
This is a full-time, permanent position. Typical hours are Monday to Friday 07:30–17:00, plus 1 in 2 Saturdays 08:00–12:00.

Main Responsibilities
Make outbound calls to existing and prospective customers to promote products and services, convert leads and generate sales opportunities.
Handle inbound enquiries professionally, providing accurate product information and advising on suitable solutions.
Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs through effective account management and proactive selling.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring a high level of service and repeat business.
Accurately record all customer interactions, sales activity and follow-ups in the company CRM system.
Work closely with branch colleagues to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and pass on customer feedback.
Support marketing campaigns and promotional activity by contacting targeted customer lists and reporting results.
Adhere to company policies, data protection regulations and industry best practice when handling customer data.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous telesales, inside sales or customer service experience, ideally within merchanting, building supplies, or a related B2B environment.
Proven track record of meeting sales targets and working to KPI metrics.
Excellent telephone manner, strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Confident negotiator with good commercial awareness and the ability to identify sales opportunities.
Proficient IT skills, including MS Office and experience of CRM systems; accurate record keeping and attention to detail are essential.
Ability to work well within a team and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
A positive, resilient attitude with willingness to learn about our products and services.
