HR Officer | Be Part of a High-Performing School
A successful secondary school in Ealing is looking to appoint an HR Officer to join its dedicated support staff team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working with people and wants to make a meaningful contribution within a busy school environment. Working closely with senior leaders, the successful candidate will help deliver a high-quality HR service, supporting staff throughout the employee lifecycle while helping to maintain a positive, professional and compliant workplace.
The Role
The HR Officer will provide day-to-day operational HR support, ensuring processes are delivered efficiently and employees receive a responsive and professional service.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting recruitment campaigns and coordinating interview processes
Managing onboarding, induction and pre-employment checks
Preparing contracts, offer letters and HR documentation
Maintaining accurate personnel records and HR systems
Supporting employee relations and absence management processes
Advising managers on routine HR queries and procedures
Ensuring safeguarding and employment compliance requirements are met
Assisting with HR projects and continuous service improvements

The Successful Candidate
The school is seeking a well-organised HR professional with previous experience in an HR or people-focused role.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. A proactive approach, excellent organisational skills and the ability to build positive working relationships are essential. Previous experience within education would be advantageous but is not essential.
