A delightful Good primary in Twickenham is seeking a warm, creative Reception Teacher to join the Early Years team on a Part-Time contract with a January 2026 start. This Part-Time Reception Teacher post is designed for a practitioner who loves play-based, language-rich environments and who wants a sustainable timetable while maintaining high classroom impact. The Reception Teacher will start pre-term planning and induction in the run-up to January 2026 , attend induction in early January 2026 , and teach from January 2026 on a Part-Time timetable. The Part-Time Reception Teacher will be supported throughout the spring term after January 2026 with mentor meetings and CPD.

Reception Teacher Responsibilities
- The Reception Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality continuous provision and focused adult-led sessions.
- The Reception Teacher will lead daily phonics, early reading, early maths and communication sessions.
- The Reception Teacher will assess children against the Early Learning Goals and use observations to plan next steps.
- The Reception Teacher will engage parents and lead transition activities into Year 1 from January 2026 .
Reception Teacher Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or EYTS and recent Reception classroom experience as the Reception Teacher .
- A Reception Teacher who is reflective, organised and confident in phonics and early mathematics.
- The ideal Reception Teacher will be ready to start handover, planning and induction before January 2026 and to teach from January 2026as a Part-Time Reception Teacher .
This Part-Time Reception Teacher post starts January 2026 ; induction and handover will take place in the weeks prior to January 2026 , and the Part-Time Reception Teacher will be fully supported during and after January 2026 .
