PPA teacher - Greenwich
A well-resourced primary school in Greenwich is seeking a reliable and creative PPA teacher to join the team from January 2026. The successful PPA teacher will deliver planned PPA lessons across KS1 and KS2, maintain consistent classroom routines and provide clear, actionable feedback to class teachers. This PPA teacher role in Greenwich will begin January 2026, with handover and induction scheduled prior to January 2026 so the PPA teacher can start term-ready.

The PPA teacher will follow teachers’ medium-term plans, deliver engaging lessons that secure progress and report outcomes back to class teams. In Greenwich, the PPA teacher will work across year groups, support extra-curricular activities and help ensure continuity of learning during PPA time. The appointed PPA teacher will be adaptable, organised and confident managing mixed-ability classes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, well-planned PPA teacher lessons that follow class planning and promote progress.
- Maintain class routines, manage behaviour positively and give constructive feedback to class teachers.
- Prepare resources and ensure smooth handovers so teachers are fully briefed after PPA sessions.
- Support enrichment activities, cover supervisory duties and contribute to whole-school events in Greenwich.
- Keep accurate records of lesson outcomes and learning objectives for reporting and handover.
Person specification
- Recent classroom experience and demonstrable ability to deliver high-quality lessons across ages.
- Strong behaviour management, organisational skills and the confidence to teach a range of subjects.
- Good communicator, able to liaise with class teachers, phase leads and parents in Greenwich.
- Flexible and dependable, available to start January 2026 and to attend induction sessions before January 2026.
