Sales Manager
While we have opportunities to be based in our London HQ, we are actively seeking Regional Sales Managers who are keen to develop and expand our client base in key areas outside of the capital, such as Manchester and beyond.
The opportunity
As a key Shieldpay Sales Manager, you don't just sell; you pull insight and sell trust. You will be a tenacious, strategic closer, mastering the psychology of relationships and the economics of risk to aggressively win new business and drive net new revenue.
You will quickly master the client base to identify pain points and architect tailored solutions. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will own the client journey, confidently demonstrating our clear value, profitability, and compliance to exponentially grow our market share.
What you’ll be doing
- Market Intelligence and Conquest: Ruthlessly hunt for new business, conducting deep-dive intelligence across escrow, payments, and regulatory landscapes. Strategically identify and seize opportunities in target markets, ensuring our offerings remain ahead of regulatory shifts.
- Pipeline Generation and Ownership: Aggressively drive net new revenue through proactive outbound prospecting (cold calling, social selling, events). Master CRM tools to prioritise high-value leads and own the entire sales funnel from initial contact to close.
- Payments Expertise and Advocacy: Become the definitive Payments Expert and Shieldpay Ambassador. Execute compelling sales presentations that dismantle client pain points, "how do I move money safely?" and clearly demonstrate our unique, risk-eliminating value.
- Operational Excellence: Build momentum by efficiently collaborating across teams to rapidly move deals. Maintain rigorous data management and consistently shatter sales targets while strictly adhering to all regulatory and security compliance standards.
What we're looking for in you
- Proven B2B enterprise sales hunter (ideally within Payments, Fintech, or Legal) who doesn't just sell—you solve complex problems. You possess the innate ability to spot hidden opportunities, viewing "no" as merely "not yet."
- An expert at outbound prospecting, relentlessly pursuing new client acquisition and closing high-end deals with strategically tailored proposals.
- Fiercely target-driven, motivated by exceeding KPIs, and possess the strategic mentality required to maintain a robust pipeline that guarantees accurate revenue forecasting.
- A powerful, adaptive communicator and active listener who confidently addresses pushback and challenges, quickly building unshakeable trust by clearly articulating how our solutions alleviate client obstacles.
- You are resilient, collaborative, and committed to constant improvement, actively fostering internal relationships and openly sharing insights to elevate the entire commercial team.
