Insurance Administrator / Trainee PMI Account Handler
Are you currently working in insurance administration or broking support and looking to develop a specialist career in Private Medical Insurance (PMI)?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and highly respected insurance brokerage where you will receive full training and structured support to develop into a PMI Account Handler.
You will work alongside experienced advisers supporting individual and SME client portfolios, gaining valuable exposure to the Private Medical Insurance market while building the skills needed to progress into a client-facing role.
This role would suit someone who is organised, proactive and keen to develop specialist knowledge within the PMI sector, working in a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The Opportunity
You will join our client's expanding PMI team, supporting advisers with day-to-day policy administration while developing the technical knowledge and experience required to manage your own portfolio over time.
The position offers structured development and a clear progression pathway, making it ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career within Private Medical Insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting advisers with PMI policy administration
- Processing renewals, mid-term adjustments and policy documentation
- Handling client servicing queries and requests
- Liaising with insurers and healthcare providers
- Maintaining accurate client records and policy data
- Assisting with new business preparation and renewal documentation
Over time, you will gain experience supporting SME PMI client portfolios and develop the capability to manage client relationships directly.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience within insurance administration, broking support or account handling
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable managing workload and working independently in a hybrid environment
- Interest in developing a career within Private Medical Insurance
Previous PMI or Employee Benefits experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Salary & Benefits
£30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
