About the Role
The Caretaker will support the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring that buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will play a key role in safeguarding the premises and supporting operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
• Opening and closing the school site
• Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Setting up rooms for lessons, exams, and events
• Monitoring site security and responding to alarms
• Assisting with contractor supervision and deliveries
The Ideal Candidate
• Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, or facilities
• Basic DIY and maintenance skills
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive
• Commitment to safeguarding and site security
