Location: Hybrid (London) – minimum 2 days per week in the office, including Wednesdays

We are expanding our development team and are looking for a Software Developer to help us continue delivering high‑quality, reliable, and innovative software.
The Role
As a Software Developer, you will be an individual contributor within our Beacon development team. You will play a key role in building, maintaining and improving Beacon’s software, systems and customer‑facing digital products.
This is a collaborative role working closely with developers, QA, Product, and stakeholders across the business. You’ll be based in our London office at least two days per week (including Wednesdays) to support cross‑functional communication and teamwork.
What You’ll Do
Software Development & Delivery
Develop and maintain Beacon’s software and systems in line with our technology strategy.
Contribute to improvements in the codebase, development processes and best practices.
Work with the Product team to understand, prioritise and deliver new requirements alongside QA.
Develop and maintain content data models, transformations and customer delivery formats.
Support infrastructure and environment management, including deployments, resilience, and security.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
Contribute to support processes for live applications, implementing monitoring, alerting and documentation.
Support incident resolution, reliability improvements and ongoing optimisation.
Work with stakeholders across the business to continuously enhance our products and technology.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills
Strong knowledge of C# and .NET , with demonstrable commercial experience.
Experience working on full‑stack applications (e.g., Angular, TypeScript, CSS).
Experience with Microsoft Azure (Functions, Cosmos DB, AI Search, Service Bus).
Solid SQL skills and experience with Entity Framework .
Proficient in git version control.
Desirable Skills
Familiarity with software architecture principles and design patterns (e.g., CQRS, mediator).
Experience with SQL Server .
Understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Awareness of DevOps tooling (Jira, GitHub, GitHub Actions).
Awareness of security best practices.

Education & Experience
Commercial experience in software development, and/or a degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
