ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic New Business Manager to drive pipeline growth and generate new revenue opportunities across the wider agency network, including Croud and our sister agency Born Social. Reporting to the New Business Director and working closely with agency leaders, you will take ownership of opportunities across the new business funnel, from lead generation and qualification through to pitch conversion and successful client onboarding.
You will manage opportunities through the pipeline, supporting the conversion of prospects into long-term clients. This includes developing compelling proposals, creating tailored credentials that respond to client needs, and coordinating pitch processes from briefing through to final presentation.
Working across both group-wide and agency-specific priorities, you will play a key role in delivering new business activity, managing pipeline performance, and building strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Partnering with marketing, channel specialists, and senior leadership, you will support the EMEA growth strategy by identifying priority sectors, surfacing high-potential opportunities, and contributing to revenue growth across the Croud Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Pipeline & Opportunity Management
Own and progress opportunities across the new business pipeline, from lead generation and qualification through to pitch conversion and client onboarding.
Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities and manage progression through the pipeline, ensuring prioritisation of high-value prospects
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide clear pipeline visibility to support forecasting and commercial decision-making
Lead Generation & Growth Activity
Drive proactive new business activity through targeted outreach, events, internal referrals, and marketing-led campaigns
Work with senior sales and marketing stakeholders to identify priority sectors and target accounts aligned to growth strategy
Support the development of marketing, PR, and content initiatives that help generate and progress new opportunities
Pitch Ownership & Conversion
Coordinate pitch processes end-to-end, working with internal teams to develop compelling, insight-led responses
Develop tailored credentials, proposals, and case studies that clearly communicate agency capabilities across performance and social
Support conversion of qualified opportunities into successful new client wins
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, supporting early-stage commercial conversations
Collaborate with senior leadership on pricing, costing, and procurement discussions where required
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience in business development or consultative sales within a digital marketing, creative, or media agency environment
Proven ability to support and progress new business opportunities through structured pipeline stages
Experience contributing to pitch processes, including brief interpretation, coordination, and proposal development
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and qualify opportunities effectively
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and supporting C-suite level conversations
Understanding of the digital marketing and social landscape, including key client challenges and agency value propositions
Strong networking skills and willingness to engage in industry events and client-facing opportunities
Highly organised with strong attention to pipeline management, CRM accuracy, and process discipline
Collaborative team player who works effectively across strategy, marketing, and delivery teams

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
