The Role
We’re looking for a Principal Consultant to lead the delivery of a range of exciting digital, data and technology services for a Government client. This is a strategic, high-impact role within a Digital and Data technology team, driving innovation and shaping the future of customer services on a Cloud platform.
Security Clearance Requirement
The successful candidate must be a UK resident who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Own product roadmaps and strategic planning for digital services
Maintain a product backlog, prioritise features, and support Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies
Collaborate with cross functional teams to define product requirements, user story mapping and ensuring a user/ customer centric approach
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, technical teams, government partners
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll be able to evidence:
A passion for leading product and programmes delivery for clients and customers
Strong understanding of agile ways of working and cadences to support collaboration between business and technology teams
Capability to design and implement Scrum agile practices from a standing start, understanding of agile tooling such as JIRA and Confluence is a necessity.
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in secure Government or Defence environments preferred
A natural collaborative approach to your work, able to bring consensus within challenging stakeholder groups
Deep understanding of the mechanisms and tools required to manage successful delivery from both traditional and agile perspective
Enthusiasm and comprehensive understanding of the business and modern technological landscape and an ability to translate that knowledge to solve client problems
Excellent understanding of RAID and cross functional dependency management
A consultative approach and toolkit in managing clients
A positive, can do attitude, strong team ethos and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
