The Role
As a Science Technician, you will:
Prepare and set up equipment for exciting practical lessons (yes, including the Bunsen burners!)
Support teachers during experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Ensure all practical work is carried out safely and in line with regulations
Maintain laboratory equipment and manage stock
Organise chemicals and materials responsibly
Assist with risk assessments and health & safety procedures
Support the “workbook side” of science — helping ensure practical learning links seamlessly to theory
You’ll be at the heart of the action, helping create memorable learning experiences that inspire students to pursue STEM pathways.
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who:
- Holds a degree in science or a related field (ECTS qualifications will be considered)
- Has relevant experience working in a school laboratory or similar setting
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of safe laboratory practices
- Has a genuine passion for science and practical experimentation
- Is organised, proactive and ready to get stuck in
- Can clearly demonstrate best practices in lab preparation and safety
- Has the right to work in the UK
