Facilities Assistant – Good Secondary School – Bexley (South East London)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Paid to scale
We are looking to appoint a reliable and proactive Facilities Assistant to join a Good secondary school in Bexley. This is an important role supporting the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the school site.
The successful candidate will assist with ensuring that the school environment is safe, secure and well maintained. You will support the Site Manager with a range of duties including maintenance tasks, room setups and health and safety checks.
This role requires practical skills, a flexible approach and the ability to respond effectively to the needs of a busy school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with general maintenance and repairs
• Support site security and safety procedures
• Set up rooms and equipment for lessons and events
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the site
• Carry out basic health and safety checks
• Support the Site Manager with daily tasks
Requirements:
• Practical skills and maintenance experience
• Knowledge of health and safety (desirable)
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Flexible and reliable approach
