A warm, community-minded Good primary in Twickenham is seeking a thoughtful Reception Teacher to join the Early Years team on a Part-Time basis from January 2026 . This Part-Time Reception Teacher position offers a sustainable workload with meaningful planning time and a supportive staff culture. The appointed Reception Teacher will begin handover work and pre-term planning in advance of January 2026 , attend induction in January 2026 , and begin teaching from January 2026 .
The Part-Time Reception Teacher will create a rich, play-based environment that develops language, early number sense and social confidence. As Reception Teacher you will run daily phonics, lead adult-child interactions, and assess progress against the Early Learning Goals. Even as a Part-Time Reception Teacher , you will participate in staff meetings and CPD, contributing the same professional input as full-time colleagues while maintaining a balanced Part-Time timetable. The school values the role of the Reception Teacher in setting the foundations for lifelong learning and offers strong mentoring for new and experienced Reception Teacher applicants alike.
Key duties for the Reception Teacher include planning stimulating continuous provision, leading parent workshops, and working closely with TAs to ensure children’s needs are met. The Part-Time Reception Teacher will be expected to attend key transition meetings in January 2026 and to contribute to school events scheduled from January 2026.
