About the Role

Our client is an established international trading and procurement business operating across multiple countries.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Buyer to join a small Engineering Procurement team, sourcing spare parts and assemblies for manufacturing customers across the Middle East.

This is a varied role offering international supplier exposure, commercial responsibility and opportunities to visit key customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Source engineering spare parts, assemblies and technical products internationally
  * Manage enquiries and RFQs from customer requirements through to purchase
  * Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers across Europe and the Far East
  * Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms
  * Build strong supplier and customer relationships
  * Drive cost-saving and supplier improvement initiatives
  * Ensure accurate purchasing records and documentation
  * Act as a key link between customers and the Engineering team
  * Support and mentor junior team members

About You

• 5 years' experience in engineering procurement or technical buying
  * Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  * Experience sourcing engineering components, machinery or spare parts
  * Knowledge of OEM suppliers across Europe and Asia
  * Understanding of Incoterms and international purchasing
  * Experience with ERP systems; SAP Business One advantageous
  * Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills
  * Experience with Middle Eastern customers/suppliers advantageous
  * Engineering, Science or technical qualification desirable
