Full-Time Live-In Nanny-Housekeeper

We are looking for a warm, energetic and experienced nanny-housekeeper to become an important part of our busy but happy family.

We have three children: a four-year-old girl, a ten-year-old boy who attends weekly boarding school, and a fourteen-year-old girl who attends a local school. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys children, is organised and practical, and takes pride in helping a family home run smoothly.

This is a varied and rewarding role, combining childcare with housekeeping, cooking, shopping, school runs and organising activities. Our four-year-old will be the main focus of the childcare, while our older children are increasingly independent. As our ten-year-old attends weekly boarding school, the balance of the role naturally varies throughout the week.

We would love someone who enjoys getting outdoors, swimming, cooking and baking, crafts, games, outings and days out, and who can bring energy, creativity and new ideas to the children's everyday lives.

The role includes:
Caring for and engaging with the children
School and activity runs
Planning outings, activities and days out
Preparing nutritious and enjoyable family meals
Grocery shopping and household errands
General housekeeping, cleaning and laundry
Keeping children's bedrooms, play areas and shared spaces tidy
Helping with school routines, bags, uniforms and activities
Being proactive and helping the household run smoothly

We are looking for someone who is kind, cheerful, dependable and genuinely enjoys family life. You should be calm, patient, adaptable and confident taking initiative, with a good sense of humour and a positive, can-do attitude.

Previous professional nanny or childcare experience is important, and excellent references will be required.

Driving

A full, clean driving licence is essential. The role involves school runs, taking the children to activities, shopping and outings, so you must be a confident and responsible driver.

Our home

We live in a beautiful old house in a peaceful semi-rural setting on the outskirts of Basingstoke, Hampshire. The house has large gardens and an indoor swimming pool, providing plenty of space for family life, outdoor activities and enjoying time together.

Although surrounded by countryside, we are close to Basingstoke and its amenities, with good access to local schools, shops and transport links.

The successful candidate will have comfortable live-in accommodation within the family home and will be welcomed into a friendly family environment.
