SENCo - Renowned Secondary School in Brent

Marchant Recruitment
Brent, Greater London

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Paid to scale + SEN Allowance

The Role

A renowned Secondary School in Brent is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and exceptionally organised Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join their senior inclusion team. This vital leadership role is ideal for an experienced educator, inclusion leader, or current SENCo who thrives when managing complex case folders, tracking intervention outcomes, and establishing a flawless framework of accessible education across a large, diverse urban campus.

The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operations and strategic pathways of the school's SEND department. Key responsibilities include overseeing statutory annual reviews, drafting multi-tier support and assessment files, managing complex funding applications, and ensuring complete compliance with all national and local authority educational regulations. You will also oversee access arrangement testing parameters for external examination cycles, match provisions to student needs profiles, and guide class teachers on high-utility strategies for neurodiverse learners.

You will act as the principal point of contact for external agencies, medical professionals, and parents, requiring absolute professionalism, calm problem-solving capabilities, and crisp communication. You will balance detailed data logging on digital dashboards with active student mentoring, ensuring that all intervention tracks translate into measurable academic and social progress.

The SEND and inclusion team are treated as an essential, core pillar of the school faculty, benefiting from dedicated seminar suites, independent testing rooms, and premium learning resources. Staff are highly supported by a forward-thinking senior leadership team that prioritizes administrative efficiency, shared resource structures, and robust professional development paths.
