Finance Officer / Finance Manager - Waltham Forest

School Finance Professionals Wanted

We regularly receive requests from schools across Waltham Forest looking for immediately available finance staff.

These can be short-term assignments to cover sickness, additional support during busy periods or longer temporary placements while a school recruits permanently.

We're interested in hearing from both Finance Officers and Finance Managers with previous school experience.

Depending on Your Level of Experience

You could be supporting with:

• Purchase orders, invoices and payments

• Processing expenses

• Bank and account reconciliations

• Maintaining financial records

• Budget monitoring

• Payroll administration

• Supplier and parent queries

• Financial reporting and spreadsheets

• School finance systems

• Supporting audits and year-end processes

• Managing the day-to-day finance function at Manager level

Experience with FMS, PS Financials, Sage or similar systems would be advantageous.

Essential Requirements

For all assignments, you must have previous experience working in a school finance environment.

You will also need:

✔ A clear DBS
✔ DBS on the Update Service, or issued within the past 6 months
✔ Strong finance and administration skills
✔ Good Excel knowledge
✔ Excellent attention to detail
✔ The ability to work independently
✔ Flexibility around full-time and part-time assignments
