Year 3 Teacher | Croydon
An ambitious primary in Croydon is looking for a motivated Year 3 Teacher to commence in January 2026. The Year 3 Teacher will plan rigorous learning sequences across English, maths and foundation subjects, support pupils’ developing autonomy and run targeted booster groups to accelerate progress. The Croydon school encourages innovative practice and collaborative planning; the Year 3 Teacher will contribute to phase moderation and curriculum refinement. Induction will be provided before January 2026 to support a smooth start.

Based in Croydon, the Year 3 Teacher will engage with local networks, lead parental communication on progress and support school-wide improvement priorities. The role suits a teacher who enjoys creative curriculum design and strong impact measurement.
Responsibilities
- Plan ambitious Year 3 lessons that combine knowledge acquisition with application.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure pupils achieve strong outcomes.
- Lead small-group interventions and evaluate their effectiveness through data.
- Work with colleagues to moderate standards and share effective practice across Croydon.
- Participate in community and enrichment projects that enhance pupils’ learning.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 2 and strong evidence of impact in Year 3.
- Confident planner, strong classroom manager and effective communicator.
- Positive, proactive and committed to the Croydon school community.
- Ready to start January 2026 and to be based in Croydon.
