Your Role as a Midday Meal Supervisor
As an MDM, your responsibilities will include:
Supervising children during lunch in dining areas
Assisting younger children with trays, cutlery, and meals
Encouraging polite behaviour, sharing, and cooperation
Monitoring children with food allergies or special dietary requirements
Supervising playground activities, games, and free play
Supporting pupils who may be upset, anxious, or having difficulty socially
Managing low-level behavioural issues calmly and fairly
Reporting concerns to teaching or senior staff
Following school safeguarding and health & safety policies
You will be a consistent, approachable, and calm adult who supports children in navigating social interactions and unstructured time.
