Nanny-Housekeeper

We are a professional, friendly family based in Highbury, North London, looking for a proactive and reliable part-time nanny-housekeeper to help us manage our home and assist with our two-year-old son.
This is a long-term, part-time role for someone who is organised, warm, practical and happy to take initiative. We both work full-time and are looking for a trustworthy extra pair of hands to help keep family life running smoothly.

Hours and pay
• 18 hours per week
• Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays
• 12.30pm to 6.30pm
• Up to £22 per hour gross, depending on experience
• Start date flexible from July

Duties
Routine duties will include:
• Cleaning and general tidying
• Washing, drying, sorting and putting away clothes, bedding and household laundry
• Ironing
• Loading and unloading the dishwasher
• Receiving a weekly supermarket delivery and putting it away
• Collecting our two-year-old son from nursery, which is a short walk from our home
• Giving him his dinner
• Batch-cooking meals for him
Occasional duties will include:
• Taking in and collecting dry-cleaning
• Returning parcels
• Basic local shopping
• Admitting and supervising workmen
• Keeping an eye on household supplies and letting us know when essentials are running low
• Helping with packing and unpacking for travel

About you
We are looking for someone who:
• Has previous experience in a similar nanny-housekeeper or housekeeping/childcare role
• Is reliable, organised and proactive
• Has an up-to-date DBS check
• Has the right to work in the UK
• Can provide excellent checkable references
• Is comfortable working independently and taking initiative
Employment basis
We would ideally like to engage someone on a self-employed basis, but we would be open to putting the right person on payroll if needed.
