Premises Manager
A successful Primary School in the London Borough of Camden is seeking an experienced Premises Manager to oversee the management of its school site on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a practical and proactive professional who is committed to maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the school's buildings and grounds while leading the premises function and ensuring the site remains fully operational throughout the year.
Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager, you will oversee planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, contractor management, cleaning services and statutory compliance. You will ensure all health and safety inspections are completed on time, maintain accurate compliance records and manage maintenance schedules across the site.
Responsibilities include supervising premises staff, coordinating servicing programmes, monitoring premises budgets, managing external contractors and ensuring facilities are prepared for assemblies, school performances, parents' evenings and community events. You will also identify opportunities to improve the school environment through preventative maintenance, sustainability initiatives and long-term improvement projects.
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strong organisational abilities and previous experience managing premises or facilities within a school or similar environment. You will take pride in maintaining a high-quality site that supports outstanding teaching and learning.

Requirements
Previous Premises or Facilities Management experience
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation
Experience managing contractors and maintenance programmes
Excellent leadership and organisational skills
Good practical maintenance knowledge
Budget management experience desirable
Commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment
