Senior Go (Golang) Developer

As a Senior Go Developer in reMarkable, you'll not only craft state-of-the-art cloud solutions but also collaborate closely with cross-functional experts in design, embedded systems, data & insights, and frontend development. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and championing best practices tailored for reMarkable, ensuring the robustness, scalability, and future-proof nature of our solutions. We foster a culture of continuous improvement, where you'll have the opportunity to consistently elevate our codebase.
Our main tech stack: Go, GCP, Terraform (infrastructure as code).
Your responsibilities may include:
Design, develop, and test backend services using Go.
Tune robust APIs and API frameworks for a multi-tenant environment.
Set up, monitor, and run services primarily in GCP, ensuring continuous integration and deployment of your code.
Investigate AI opportunities within products and cloud strategy, optimizing existing models while leveraging our data's unique features.
Build data pipelines and IAM policies to handle petabyte datasets in the cloud.
Work in a cross functional team with other domains like embedded, design, product and copy.
We are looking for the following experience:
Proficiency in Go with experience in developing and maintaining cloud backend services.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP or other providers; a combination of these is considered as a bonus.
Experience working with infrastructure as code.
Understanding of lower level programming languages like C++ or Rust.
You hold a higher degree in technology or within a relevant field, with hands-on experience from software development.

Visa requirements UK: Citizenship/indefinite leave to remain (relocation to the UK is not possible at the moment)
