Indirect Tax Senior Manager (Transactions & Restructuring)

A leading professional services firm is looking for a Senior Manager to join its growing Indirect Tax Transactions team. The group advises on VAT aspects of high-profile UK and international deals, ranging from acquisitions and disposals through to IPOs, carve-outs, refinancing, and supply chain changes. The work is varied, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, offering the chance to be part of some of the most significant transactions in the market.

The Role

* Provide VAT input on complex restructuring and deal activity, including carve-outs, mergers, and demergers
* Act as a trusted adviser to corporates, investors, and lenders, helping them navigate indirect tax risks and opportunities
* Lead discussions with HMRC on technical and compliance issues
* Deliver written reports and transaction support documents, ensuring technical quality and practical solutions
* Support client teams and colleagues with day-to-day VAT queries, while spotting opportunities for further advisory work
* Play an active part in business development, building strong relationships internally and externally
* Mentor and train junior colleagues, contributing to the technical development of the wider tax practice

What They're Looking For

* ACA, ACCA or CTA (or equivalent qualification)
* Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT and how it applies in a deals context
* Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* A collaborative style with the ability to lead teams under pressure
* High emotional intelligence and the confidence to explain complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
