Responsibilities of a KS1 Teacher:
- Deliver the Key Stage 1 curriculum with creativity, enthusiasm, and high expectations.
- Provide a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independence and curiosity.
- Assess and track progress, adapting teaching to support individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a broad and balanced curriculum enriched with specialist teaching and extracurricular opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
KS1 Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 , with a strong understanding of early learning and transition from EYFS.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- A reflective and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for teaching young children.
- The ability to contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
