Responsibilities of a KS1 Teacher:

  • Deliver the Key Stage 1 curriculum with creativity, enthusiasm, and high expectations.
  • Provide a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independence and curiosity.
  • Assess and track progress, adapting teaching to support individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a broad and balanced curriculum enriched with specialist teaching and extracurricular opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children’s learning and wellbeing.

KS1 Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 , with a strong understanding of early learning and transition from EYFS.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • A reflective and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for teaching young children.
  • The ability to contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
