What we need…
Are you an ambitious accounting professional with a couple of years of experience ready to take the next significant step in your career? We are seeking a detail- oriented Management Accountant to join our dynamic London-based finance team of 6 people. This newly created, pivotal role comes at an exciting time as we embark on internalising our month-end processes across our 9 global entities. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, you will be instrumental in this transition, taking ownership of a dedicated scope of entities. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape processes, drive efficiency, and contribute directly to our global financialoperations. We're looking for a rigorous and autonomous individual with a strong foundation in management accounting principles, ready to grow into a role that offers significant impact and exposure within a rapidly evolving international business. What You'll Be Doing... Month-End & Year-End Ownership:
Take full responsibility for all aspects of the month-end and year-end close within your scope of entities. This includes journal entries, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Financial Insights & Analysis:
Develop a deep understanding of the Group’s activities, and proactively identify opportunities for financial and operational improvement. Provide meaningful analysis to support efficiency and profitability across the business. Process Optimisation:
Contribute to the design and implementation of robust financial processes and internal controls. Play an active role in the internalisation and streamlining of our month-end procedures. System & Integration Support:
Support the ongoing improvement of financial systems and tools. Help ensure smooth integration of newly acquired entities and alignment of their systems and processes with group standards. Audit & Statutory Support:
Assist in audit preparation, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete documentation. Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements. Strategic Finance Support:
Work closely with the Financial Controller to support variance analysis and ad hoc reporting, providing financial input to help drive data-informed business decisions. Payroll Management: Ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing, coordinating effectively with local providers across our global operations. HR Collaboration :
Partner seamlessly with the HR team to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes related to payroll, enhancing the employee experience Who We're Looking For...
Fluency in French is a bonus but not required.
Ideally 1-3 years of progressive experience in an accounting role, with demonstrable exposure to management accounting principles. This is a stepping-stone role, and we are looking for someone eager to develop.
Solid experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation) are essential.
Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and process compliance.
A self-starter who can manage responsibilities independently, is proactive in identifying improvements, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working to deadlines and under pressure in a dynamic business environment
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a small, dedicated finance team and across departments
