Senior Quantity Surveyor - M&E Package 📍 Location: Heathrow Airport 💼 Sector: Construction / Infrastructure 📑 Contract: Freelance Carmichael UK is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on the delivery on an M&E package upgrade within the airport. This is a key role, managing all commercial activities across the project lifecycle to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and value for money, while maintaining the highest quality and contractual standards. Key Responsibilities Lead all commercial management on the M&E package, ensuring compliance with NEC4 Option C Contracts. Manage all change processes, including change meetings, EWNs, CEs, programme management, and cost reconciliations. Prepare and manage applications for payment, payment certificates, and cost reports. Maintain accurate registers for variations, delays, extensions of time, and claims. Ensure contractual and commercial risks and opportunities are clearly identified and communicated. Support the Contract Leader with monthly reports, forecasts, and progress valuations. Oversee subcontract management, including preparation of enquiries, negotiation, administration, and closeout. Implement robust change management and cost control measures. Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, supply chain, and project teams. Provide commercial and contractual advice to the project and site teams. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. About You Demonstrable experience delivering M&E packages within construction/infrastructure projects, data centres, or warehouse environments. Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC4 Option C Contracts. Excellent commercial acumen with proven ability to manage cost, risk, and change. Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interface confidently at all levels. Thorough understanding of commercial policies, procedures, and contract administration. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as the lead commercial contact. Ltd co payment subject to assessment
