Working within EMEA Corporate Technology, AMD is responsible for designing, developing and supporting technology solutions for multiple business areas, and for providing core technology services across the organisation.

The Digital Delivery team within AMD is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting AI and digital technology solutions.

NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS

5-10 direct reports, and a wider team of circa 20 staff.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • Lead the definition and delivery of high-quality digital solutions, leveraging AI, low-code, and conventional technologies to meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams and functions including Digital Transformation and Change Management, and senior business stakeholders to understand requirements and present innovative, value-driven solutions.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of both investment and expense-related change initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Drive innovation across AMD and the wider technology function, identifying opportunities to modernise and enhance service delivery.
  • Provide high quality L1,L2,L3 support across all services that the team owns and runs.
  • Build, mentor and lead a high-performing, customer-centric team that takes pride in delivering exceptional service and outcomes, while championing the adoption of modern technologies and practices.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, and provide expert leadership across technology products, disciplines, and methodologies, ensuring best practices are followed to deliver business value.
  • Manage legacy .NET applications and where appropriate their transition to alternative solutions.
  • Actively contribute to the AMD management team, influencing strategic decisions, supporting peers, and promoting operational excellence.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ownership of production solutions within a financial services organization
  • Experience of building and technology teams, including offshore resources, providing direction and guidance
  • Experience of providing effective 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support across for multiple business areas
  • Practical experience of successfully delivering AI solutions, including generative AI, agentic AI, and conventional ML
  • Proven experience in driving modernization and innovation, through to successful production deployment
  • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Azure Foundry, Copilot Studio, and the Power Platform
  • Excellent understanding of core technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, Microsoft
  • Experience of working directly with senior stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Degree educated and / or equivalent experience
