Associate Director of Finance
Associate Director of Finance – SME or Non–profit experience needed – Central London / Hybrid – up to GBP95k
We re looking for a fully qualified Accountant, with c5 years PQE experience and experience working at SME in a broad financial role, and excellent finance and business acumen, to join a successful organisation in Central London as their Finance Associate Director .
The Associate Director of Finance will lead all areas of the finance team and will be a key member of the Finance Board.
In a nutshell: We re looking for a fully qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE and demonstrable experience at an SME within a broad financial role, managing a team. If you have gained experience in a not–for–profit organisation that would be highly beneficial.
Key responsibilities as the Associate Director of Finance will include :
- Leading and managing the finance team, leading all areas including group statutory and management reporting
- As a key member of the Finance Board, actively contribute to strategic discussions giving accurate financial insights
- Reviewing, developing and improving financial polices, procedures and processes
- Overseeing the preparation and review of monthly management accounts
- Leading the preparation of statutory financial accounts for all Group entities
- Coordinating the year–end audit process
- Leading end–to–end budgeting and forecasting processes
- Managing the balance sheet
- Managing, forecasting and reporting
- Assisting in developing, implementing and improving financial systems

What we re looking for :- Fully qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE
- Experience at an SME within a broad financial role (experience within a not–for–profit is highly advantageous)
- Experienced in leading a finance team
- A strong, hands–on leader with the capability to determine financial strategies
- A growth mindset with good commercial acumen and and intellectual curiosity
- Experience of understanding the commercial implications of all financial data
- Strong and effective communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues professionally
- A curious mindset with the ability to spot and investigate risks
- Ability to make recommendations for business focused solutions
- Experienced in using financial management systems and tools
- Experience in systems improvement and implementation is beneficial
- A proactive, results–driven self–starter
