Role Overview:

As Senior Communications Manager for EMEA, you are the strategic lead for public relations and communications initiatives across the region for Activision, including the Call of Duty franchise. Working closely with communications leadership, you will drive planning across narrative development, media engagement, crisis response, and cross-functional alignment to ensure brand consistency and impact across diverse markets. You will thrive in an energetic team environment, will be highly organized and able to work independently in a constantly evolving and adapting landscape, while contributing to the goals of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of regional communications strategies and plans aligned with global brand, commercial and communication goals.
  • Establish PR and Creator communication strategies for each game release, including gaming specialist, lifestyle and broadcast mainstream media and consumer-focused campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with global HQ, working closely with functional leads and teams to ensure PR plans are well integrated into an overall go-to-market strategy.
  • Support Territory Communications teams to deliver local market success through local communications.
  • Campaign & Event Management.
  • Oversee major product reveals and experiential activations.
  • Crisis & Issues Management, aligning messaging with global communications leadership.
  • Working closely with Activision leadership, coordinate with Microsoft and Xbox teams on joint communications.
  • Reporting & Insights - Use measurement tools to evaluate campaign success and deliver reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with financial planning, budget tracking and demonstrating return on investment.
  • Engage with key media, partners, and creators, where needed to support communications delivery.
  • Day to day contact and liaison with incumbent agency network.

Key Skills & Experience:

This role is a senior management level position where you will thrive on a can-do attitude, not afraid to get completely involved in a working environment that will empower you to create new ideas and encourage you to think outside the box all whilst sharing in some great company benefits and initiatives. In addition, you will have:

  • A Degree level Education (preferred) relevant to the experience required for the role.
  • Extensive Experience in Communications Management with Press and Creators, ideally for an Entertainment brand.
  • Excellent spoken and written skills in English (other European languages an advantage)
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage deadlines in a timely manner
  • Awareness of business planning and consumer orientation (targeting, segmentation, media trends)
  • Financial savvy (budgeting, ROI-oriented prioritization)
  • Clear self-motivation with a history of exceeding high-performance standards
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • A willingness to travel should be required in role.
  • Confidence, initiative, approachability, and ability to foster team collaboration; ambition and ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Expertise in media relations, crisis management, and cross-cultural communications.
  • Strong understanding of the EMEA media landscape and influencer ecosystem.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
