Sen Teaching Assistant
Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: RedbridgeContract Type: Full-time (Temporary, with potential for permanent placement) About the Role We are currently working in partnership with Leeds City Council to recruit dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support a number of inclusive and nurturing primary schools across Leeds. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them to thrive in a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational NeedsSupport children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMHAssist in creating a calm, structured, and engaging learning environmentBuild strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their emotional and academic developmentWork collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement tailored support strategies Person Specification We are looking for individuals who: Have experience supporting children with SEND (either professionally or personally)Demonstrate patience, empathy, and consistency in their approachAre confident in building positive relationships quicklyAre committed to making a meaningful difference in children’s lives What We Offer Ongoing training and professional development opportunitiesDedicated support from a specialist education consultantAccess to long-term roles in supportive and inclusive school environmentsOpportunities for permanent placements where suitable Safeguarding & Compliance All applicants must: Hold or be willing to obtain a valid enhanced DBS check and subscribe to the DBS Update ServiceMeet the required qualifications and training standards for the roleUndergo safeguarding checks in line with DfE guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education, which may include an online search All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
