French & Spanish Teacher | Independent Islington Secondary
We are working with a vibrant independent school in Islington recruiting for an MFL Teacher (French & Spanish). The school is highly international in its outlook, valuing linguistic proficiency as an essential skill for the 21st-century global stage.

The leadership team understands the demands of language instruction and ensures you are fully supported with small class sizes, native-speaker language assistants, and a reduced timetable to allow for creative resource development.
The Role & Responsibilities Working within a passionate language faculty, you will handle the vital work that allows our students to become confident, spontaneous, and culturally aware linguists.
Language Instruction: Teaching French and Spanish across KS3 and GCSE, with the opportunity for A-Level instruction for suitably qualified candidates.
Cultural Immersion: Coordinating international trips, exchange programmes, and European film and debating clubs to bring the languages to life.
Oral Proficiency Development: Working with small groups to develop student confidence in spoken language, focusing on phonetics and spontaneous dialogue.
Departmental Growth: Contributing to the digital MFL resource bank, utilizing interactive tools and authentic media to enhance learning.
Requirements
Degree: A degree in French, Spanish, or Modern Languages.
QTS: Mandatory.
Right to Work: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary & Contract Details
Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3 equivalent)
Contract: Full-time | Permanent | ASAP Start
