Where this role sits (and what it isn't)

One important clarification, because it shapes the whole role. Borderless has a dedicated caseworker team who sit within our Product Operations function and own the day-to-day case management and submissions. This position is separate from that team and that work. It sits on the Customer Success side of the business and is a senior advisory, leadership and client-facing role, not an operational one. You will not be managing day-to-day submissions or case pipelines. Instead, you will be our most senior immigration authority: guiding our highest-stakes customers, raising the bar across our advisory team, and helping shape how we serve large organisations as we grow. Role overview

This is a pivotal leadership position designed to cement Borderless as a top-tier immigration authority and a trusted partner for enterprise-level organisations. You will serve as our most senior expert, providing strategic guidance to high-stakes customers while mentoring our team of Immigration Advisers to keep the quality and consistency of our advice consistently high.

What you'll be doing

• Act as the final point of authority on complex, high-stakes immigration matters, providing the decisive expertise our most important customers rely on.

• Drive net revenue retention and customer loyalty by ensuring every client receives expert-led, accurate, and strategic immigration guidance.

• Lead, mentor, and upskill the Immigration Adviser team, ensuring they remain at the forefront of Home Office regulations and industry best practices.

• Support the sales and customer success teams by joining enterprise account calls, building immediate credibility with large-scale organisations.

• Represent Borderless as a thought leader by running webinars and producing insights that translate complex legislative changes into actionable business advice.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape how our immigration advisory function is structured and scales as we move upmarket.

‍ Who You Are

• Extensive senior-level experience within a reputable law firm or directly within the Home Office, specifically focused on UK immigration.

• Active IAA accreditation with a deep understanding of the current regulatory landscape and compliance requirements.

• Proven leadership capabilities, with the confidence to take full accountability for complex legal decisions and team performance.

• A track record of supporting corporate clients and the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders in large organisations.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating technical legal nuances into clear, commercially-minded advice for customers and internal teams.

• A proactive mentoring style, with a genuine interest in developing the talent and technical expertise of junior colleagues.

Interview Process

• 30 minute mock interview with talent

• 45 minute interview with the hiring manager

• 60 minute final onsite interview
