Role Information
The school is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Music Teacher (ECT) to join the department as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a school that values creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ practical performance skills, musical theory, and appreciation of a wide range of genres. You will also support extracurricular activities such as choir, instrumental ensembles, and school productions, working closely with colleagues to enrich the wider life of the school.
As an ECT, you will receive dedicated mentoring from an experienced subject specialist, alongside regular opportunities for lesson observation, feedback, and professional reflection.
Requirements
• QTS (or pending QTS) by the start date
• A degree in Music or a closely related subject
• Strong subject knowledge across practical and theoretical aspects of Music
• A passion for inspiring young people through creative learning
• Willingness to contribute to extracurricular music activities
